Windows 10: Trouble activating win after changing HW

Hello, iam unfortunately unable to solve a problem with activation of clear win install after changing MOBO and windows drive.I have a win 10 pro retail icence linked to my account. The account on the new hardware is the same. This licence was once win 7 licence and was upgraded to 10 and linked to this very account. Both devices are listed in my account, but there is none showing in activation troubleshooter. I do have the original key.Is there any way to tell, if my license is applicable on new hardware? I can switch drives and mobo to gather info from both devices. Iam unable to get in tou

Windows activation fails after HW change

I changed my CPU and Motherboard and when I try to activate Windows with my Product Key it fails with error code: 0x803fa060.

I can't find this error on the Microsoft help page that lists the possible activation errors.

I didn't link my Microsoft account to the product key before changing HW.

The troubleshooter also fails activation.

 

Windows 10 digital license re-activation after HW change

Hi guys

I have a digital license of Windows 10, and needed to change the motherboard.

I linked my digital license to my Microsoft account, swapped the HW, booted my PC, and tried to re-activate Windows.

Just like it says here Reactivating Windows after a hardware change (microsoft.com)

Troubleshooting step ended up with the following:

That's the first time I change HW, and trying to re-activate my digital license.

What happened? How can I activate Windows then?

winows 10 activation after re-install/hw change

I have an activated version of win10 and had to change the harddrive, now when i reinstall it will not activate. I have followed all the troubleshooting steps with no luck. Re-installing again and praying. The machine shows up on my list of machines
in my microsoft account. What can I do to activate this again??
