    Trouble activating Windows 10?


    Hello, I have been trying to activate Windows on my computer but I can't do it, I have a product key, the only option I saw to type it in was "Change product key" and it said my product key isn't valid which I don't understand because my Windows is fully paid for.


    I have clicked "Troubleshoot" and it said "Something interrupted our troubleshooting" with the error code 0x80070006.


    I spoke to a bot who told me to type "SLUI 04" into Start and enter my country or region UK, it then gave me my Installation ID. I typed my Installation ID into the chat, after that, the bot said it was having a technical problem and to come back later.


    I've put a screenshot of what my settings screen says below, can anyone help me with this problem? I've tried to include as much information as possible.

    Windows 10 fails to update


    When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

    Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

    I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    I won't buy a key, stupid.

    I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

    When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
    is that causing the problem?
