Windows 10: Trouble Activating Windows 10

Hi,I am having issues activiating windows 10 pro.I purchased this through the Microsoft store with a digital licence which worked but a few months ago this seemed to become undone as the computer is displaying “activate windows” in the bottom right hand side of the screen see image below.I am always logged in as the administrator with the same Microsoft account that was used to purchase the product.What is the fix for this as the troubleshooting tool also does not fix anything.Thx,Lily*original title: Windows 10

Windows 10 fails to update


When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?
