Windows 10: Trouble with Windows 10 bootable ISB. Please help!

Hi all,

I have just finishing building my first PC using an Asus B550i motherboard. Im having trouble getting the bootable Windows 10 USB to work. The motherboard bios will only recognise a fat32 formatted USB which has a file size limit of 4GB. The latest Windows 10 ISO contains a file which exceeds this limit. I've tried ways around this but I was wondering if it would be easier to buy a Microsoft Windows 10 USB retail drive? Does anyone know if the bios would recognise this to boot from?

Multi-bootable USB

Hey guys from TPU, couldn't find any specific thread pertaining to the question asked on title. As mentioned, I'm trying to create a bootable USB, but with many specifics boots available.

I've been trying to create one with multiple boot device including one that enables me to run Windows 10 directly on the USB Thumb Drive but to no avail.

The list of bootable images i'm trying to create are

1. Windows 10 (A full OS running from thumb drive)
2. Windows 10 ISO (Bootable disk image for fresh install)
3. MemTest86+

Have tried YUMI or UUI from the website USB PenDrive Linux but as this is my first time, i don't know how am i screwing up or am doing it right.. Anyone got a rough idea on a step by step guide? Thanks!

 

Windows 10 battery issue

I suggest you to uninstall or disable the battery checker (ISB Utility) program. ISB Utility, from Sony, is a component used by the company's devices for their power management utility. The Battery Checker (ISB Utility) is a utility that checks
to make sure the user is using an authentic Sony Battery to keep our VAIO Customer safe because there are third party battery that is being sold as authentic.

To disable the ISB utility, follow the steps below:

• 
  Click on Start, type ‘msconfig’ and then select the ‘Startup Tab’,
  
• 
  Deselect the "ISB Utility" from the startup.
  
• 
  Restart the computer.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
