Windows 10: Trouble with Windows10 install via USB

Hello guys/girls,

I'm having trouble installing Windows from USB media. I've never had this problem before. I recently upgrade my main PC and decided to upgrade my media/server PC with my old parts. Hardware wise, everything works, compatibility is not an issue, etc. Here is my problem...

Once Windows has been installed and the PC boots into the fresh environment, Windows starts asking you to create a User and so on. Every time setup gets to the Telemetry questions, the display goes black (monitor stays on WITH signal as if everything is fine) but I can't see anything on the screen. The monitor does NOT go into standby (orange light), it just stays on as normal. I've been beating myself silly wondering what the hell could be causing this but I cannot for the life of me get into Windows itself. Has anyone ran into this problem before?

Installing windows off of a USB stick

Step By Step from vista:
From admin cmd prompt

1. diskpart
1a. list disk
2. select disk 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

Copy Windows Vista's DVD ROM content to the Flash Drive

xcopy d:\*.* /s/e/f e:\ (d being your vista cd and e being your usb stick)

And that's it, boot off your usb disk

lol yeah ive done that ive got it to boot off the usb the problem is after that read the message im getting at the win 7 install screen

You have to select the option in the bios to boot from the USB drive. Did you take the steps to make the USB drive bootable?
