trying for 2 weeks to upgrade to Windows 10 1903

I am running Windows 10 Home Version 1803 (OS Build 17134.1099) on an HP laptop (Not sure of the model but around 2 years old). I have uninstalled my third party antivirus software Sophos.
As I said in the title I have been trying to upgrade my Laptop for 2 weeks to 1903.
I have tried the Update Assistant and the Media Creation Tool.
I have created an ISO on my local disk and run the setup.exe from there and also put the ISO on a USB stick and even tried burning it to a DVD.
They all fail after going to the blue screen at or around the 78% complete mark.
This is the screen shot of the message I get:

trying for 2 weeks to upgrade to Windows 10 1903 [IMG]

After I click on the OK button depending were I was running the update from I get the following screen:

trying for 2 weeks to upgrade to Windows 10 1903 [IMG]

Here the only choices are "Try Again" and "Cancel Update"
It does say to contact Microsoft support with the error code 0x8007003 I have tried it all.

I have been going around in circles and jumping through hoops for 2 weeks trying to get this done. I really do not like to be so far behind in updates.

I am hoping I can get to someone that is willing to help me and lead me to the promised land of 1903.

One more thing I worked as a system admin on HP-UNIX before I retired about 10 years ago but I am not all that familiar with all the MS acronyms so please be patient with me.

Thank you in advance for all and any help.

    :)

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:
    • Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
    • Try different keyboard or mouse.
    • Restart computer, repeatedly.
    • Google for related issues.
    • Update Bios, because why not.
    • Create boot media and revert to windows 7.
The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

i've seen this when the stock USB drivers went kaput. Only ever seen it once - i used a PCI USB 2.0 card and connected the mouse and keyboard to that, and manually updated the USB 2/USB 3 drivers.

Local profile issue after upgrading to 1903

    Hi roblinb

    Not listed in the Known.

Known issues for Windows 10 May 2019 Update version 1903

As far as Wifi any chance it is Qualcom inside USB adapter, if Qualcom then yes known issue.

I might create another user (Local) and when if try again see if this issue occurs on both users.

Would also suggest you run the first 5 steps in this tutorial to see if you have any corruption with current build.

Use DISM to Repair Windows 10 Image
