  1. Trying to downsize and modify pictures using Windows 10 File Explorer

I have been using Windows 10 file explorer the picture program that came with my Dell desktop and I am extremely dissatisfied with it. When I click on "resize" and make the modifications and click on "save", it appears to be saved, but go back and the picture is the exact same size - i.e. nothing has changed. I have tried variations and nothing ever changes. In fact it won't let me make any further changes because when I try to resize again it apparently "thinks" I have already resized it. But the picture stays the same size! Doesn't matter whether I "save" it "save as".VERY frustrati

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

  3. How to not separate pictures and videos in File Explorer?

    Hi.

If Date Modified doesn't show on the options when you choose Sort by, we suggest that you perform this steps:

    • In File Explorer, select the folder you want to have changes with.
    • Right-click and select Sort by.
    • Select More, then check if the Date modified option has a check mark.
    • Click OK, then try to perform again the steps provided by Acelyn Alc.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

  4. Trying to downsize and modify pictures using Windows 10 File Explorer

Clear the 'cache' in file explorer for already used picture tags?

If you set some tags for your *.jpg pictures, the windows 10 file explorer shows them in the "details pane" on the right side.

This list can get very long and with some wrong or no longer used entries.
How can I clear this list / cache / suggestions?

Or how can I stop the file explorer to suggests already used Tags?
