  1. Trying to go back to a lower windows 10 build

    Hello there,

I am enrolled in the windows insider program dev channel, and my current os build is 20170.1000. Right now I am suffering some glitches while playing video games FPS suddenly drops down from 144 to 30, and I want to go back to the previous beta channel version which is 19042.421. Unfortunately I have already deleted the old.windows folder from C drive, is there another way to do it instead of installing a clean windows version? I don't really want to reset all the settings. I appreciate the help in advance.

    Sincerely,

    Tony Zhang.

    :)

Thinking about Going back to Win8.1

If want to disable IE, still can. However, can't uninstall it like were able to in XP/98/whatever.
Here's how, although I find it useful in case Chrome or Firefox stops working and have to re-download it. *Wink
    1. Search for turn windows features on or off and click it in the search results.

    no, you can't go back..
I suggest creating a backup image of your os drive

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
