    Trying to install Bash on Windows 10


    This is the up to date Windows 10.


    I got as far with the BASH installation as clicking on the Bash icon waiting to be asked if I want to install Ubuntu. A black window appears and promptly vanishes before doing anything useful.

    Help!

    windows xp installation and dual core am

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    windows 10 anniversary update: bash missing

    Have you tried the steps listed here? Scroll down to "Run native Bash on Ubuntu on Windows" (you can ignore the fact that it's for an Insider Preview build; the steps are the same).

    Bash on Windows

    I have the Bash shell setup on Windows 10 latest build and I have forgotten the sudo password how can I recover this and if needed how do I uninstall the bash shell as it is not listed in the remove programs list. I am not sure of the placement of this
    question so I posted it here. Please advise.
