Windows 10: Trying to install Forza Horizon 4

I am honestly tired of this... I attempt to install this game and always get this error "0x80073CF9" code... I have done just about every fix out their except completely reformatting my drive.... This is really pissing me off and I cant even refund the game due to the fact that I cant **** download it... I am asking this question because I really dont know what else to do... I have done just about everything changed permissions on folders to trustedinstaller, lots of cmd commands, powershell etc... reinstalled windows itself... clearing store cache, resetting microsoft store... I've honestly given up already and am just pissed off cause I called microsoft support and they hang up on me not once not twice but thrice.... I wasnt even loud or obnoxious I just sat there quietly trying to figure it out....


I can install other apps perfectly fine and other games perfectly fine but not forza horizon 4...


Anyways I need assistance solving the error code "0x80073CF9"

Forza Horizon 4 will not unistall

Hi Titus,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I'd suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Click on Start menu, and look for Forza Horizon 4. Right click on it and select
Uninstall.

You can also uninstall the game through settings by following the below steps.

1. Press Windows key + I together to open Settings.

2. Click on Apps > Apps & features.

3. Click on Forza Horizon 4.

4. Select Uninstall.

Let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's fixed.
