Windows 10: Trying to run Arkham Asylum without it crashing

I've done all the usual things...updated PhysX, all the Redist files, even tweaked in the game, disabled my Realtek sound. And yet i get this message:



FYI. im running this in WIndows 10 64 bit with 4 gb of RAM, an Intel 4200 CPU @ 1.10 ghz (you read that right) with Intel HD 500 series GPU. It doesnt even run without disabling Windows Defender, btw. This is also installed through Epic Games. Any and all help is appreciated.

Batman: Arkham Asylum DVD, Windows 10, Game Not Starting.

It may be an issue with the file launching correctly, in this case I would suggest trying to set the file to run in a different compatibility setting.

To do this please find the bmlauncher.exe file

(C:\Program Files (x86)\Eidos\Batman Arkham Asylum\Binaries) >Right click>Compatibility>check 'run in compatibility mode for' Windows XP SP3

Once you have done this, please try to run it again to see if this has fixed the error.

DirectX, Windows 10, Batman: Arkham Asylum

Hi, yesterday a friend bought me Batman: Arkham Asylum on Steam. So when I launched it, it did the usual update/check of my drivers. Then it crashed and gave me an error message: "Continue" or "Close." It also said that if i pressed "Continue" the game might
not function properly, and if I pressed "Close," it would shut down the game. I pressed Continue, and the game menu popped up, except without any letters on the buttons. I guessed where the "Play" button was and clicked, the game then crashed and gave a final
error message. I went onto the Steam forums, and I wasn't the only one who had this problem. Someone in the comments said that one had to install the last DirectX version or install physxloader.dll into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Batman
Arkham Asylum GOTY\Binaries.

I tried to find how to install directx but i can't find any official website that just has a FLIPPING download button! Please Help!

PS. I am reinstalling the game now, and i will update if I forgot anything significant.

 

Cant properly install Batman Arkham Asylum

I'm trying to install Batman Arkham Asylum on my computer, I'm running Windows 10 Pro. When I try to run the game i get this error message "the program can't start beause wxmsw28u_core_vc_custom.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program
to fix this problem. My graphics card drivers are all up to date. When this message came up before I went to the folder on the drive that I had already installed the game onto and simply deleted the entire folder, now it wont let me reinstall the game. What
should I do?
