On Oct. 1, I sent in a question about the infra red icon showing on my laptop (which doesn't even have infra red). I'd just had a computer hacked a ruined the week before. So I was really worried. On Oct 2, someone named ''Vivian'', wrote me a really nice and informative reply. While I was following her instructions, I lost the site page. I never got a chance to express my appreciation. Her advice cleared up the problem, and set my mind at ease. She helped me out, and, if possible, I want to relay my belated gratitude for her kindness. I also appreciate this community forum. Best wishes to you all!

    :)

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
    a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
    b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.

Cannot access 'Background' or 'Personalization' Windows settings

Hi. I am facing the same problem. I followed your step and found that the problem is unique to my user profile. So how do I solve this? Please advice. Thanks.

EDIT: Found the culprit. It's the Rainmeter software that I used. Found somewhere that suggests disabling any desktop customization tool. Worked for me.
