Windows 10: Trying to Upgrade a Lenovo Computer from Windows 7 to 10 Error Code 0xC1900101 -0x4000D

I have a Lenovo computer that when I try to upgrade to Windows 10 gives me the above error code and says "The installation failed in the SECOND_BOOT phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATA operation. I will need very specific directions, as I'm not a computer expert. Just want this computer to be upgraded since Windows 7 isn't supported any longer. Thank you!

Problems with Windows 10 Upgrade - Error Code 0xC1900101-0x4000D

Unable to upgrade to Windows 10 and receiving Error Code 0xC1900101-0x4000D on two machines:

1) Dell 546 PC currently running Windows 8.1 - Failed in second boot phase with an error during migrate_data operation.

2) Lenovo X201 Laptop currently running Windows 7 - Page fault in non-paged area.

Any suggestions?

I failed to upgrade Windows 7 Home to Windows 10 Home with an error code 0xC1900101-0x4000D so I had to get back to the previous windows setting.

Do let us know:

• Have you connected any external devices except mouse and keyboard to your device?
• What is the complete error code/ error message of this issue?
• Are you able to access the computer?

Step 1: I suggest you to remove all the external devise except mouse and keyboard, hard reboot the computer and check with the status of this issue.

I would like to infirm that, if you are unable to upgrade to Windows 10, you can use Windows 10 ISO file, create a Media creation tool and try to upgrade your computer.
