Windows 10: Turn off Bluetooth when i close my Laptop lid

I want it to disconnect from all or 1 of my devices when I close the lid, like headphones and/or speakers. I've tried to change the device manager setting to turn off the Bluetooth device to save power. This does nothing. maybe if I'm low on battery or in battery saver mode?To change my sleep mode to hibernate is a terrible solution as my Surface Laptop 4 would take 7-10 seconds to wake from hibernate instead of from sleep which is literally under a second. Any other solutions that work? Windows task scheduler perhaps?

Do nothing is already selected for Choose what closing the lid does
in Power Options, let's try to make hibernation unavailable. Follow these steps:

• Right-click on the Windows icon on your home screen.
• Select Command Prompt (Admin).
• Click Yes if you get a prompt window.
• Type powercfg.exe /hibernate off then press Enter.

See if this will prevent the laptop from hibernating when you close the lid.

Bluetooth when Lid Closed

Question: I have a set of wireless Bluetooth earbuds. When my laptop lid is open, I would like the earbuds to connect to the laptop. However, when the lid is closed, often the earbuds will connect to the laptop.

More info: Since the lid is closed, I am obviously not using the machine, and would not like the earbuds to connect. My machine is set to sleep when the lid closes, which seems like it should stop Bluetooth devices from connecting but it doesn't.

I understand that it can get difficult if the applications are not working as expected. I see that you have tried few steps that might help us. However, we can go ahead and try few steps to see if we can resolve this issue.

1. Open Settings app. Navigate to System > Power & sleep.
2. In the Related settings section, click Additional power settings link to open Power Options window.
3. Select Choose what closing the lid does.
4. Next to When I close the lid, select Do Nothing.
5. Save changes and test the issue.
