I can't believe the only instructions I can find online are so very complicated and come with the message: "be very cautious about making any changes in Registry". This option, turned ON, only appeared after the latest Edge update and was not my choice. Surely, as in other optional choices there is a simple way to change ON to OFF. I'm assuming this new Edge was created by computer exports, or am I wrong. If any suggestions or advice is available, please, please clue me in.

This is one of the many changes that were made to my PC in the last Windows and Edge updates. I am assuming this is the reason I am unable to open most apps due to a persistent pop-up Security Alert "you are trying to view an app over a secure connection".

Also this often appears then disappears: Microsoft Sign In: "AADSTS50196 server encountered another client request".

Have noted many unfamiliar items now listed in Manage Add-ons page, in Toolbars/Extensions: XML DOM Document - HtmlDlgSafeHelpe Class - Microsoft Shell Ul Helper - Windows Media Player - Script Dictionary - Tubular Control

And: Microsoft Windows Third Party Application Component Shockwave Flash Object.

Needless to say, I have not the foggiest knowledge of these items and am going co find if they should be left on my PC or should be removed - and instructions for doing so. My PC: windows 10, v. 1909, HP desktop, IE11 & new Edge browsers.

I know this is a long query - my question boils down to: Can anyone advice me which of these things I should keep or to leave n my PC" I'm at a loss!

    :)

    inprivate browsing

Thank you for the feedback, David. Generally, InPrivate browsing will not be active and need to be initiated manually. If
InPrivate browsing opens when you try to launch Internet Explorer, you can try these steps to disable it:

    • Right-click on the Internet Explorer icon and click-on
      Properties
      .
    • Under Target, the path should be "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" (with the quotation marks.) If
-inprivate is suffixed, removed it and click the OK button.

Let us know how it goes.
