Windows 10: Turn off Metering for Wi-Fi tethering to iPhone Windows 11

--How can I turn off data metering in Windows 11 for wi-fi Hotspot tethering to iPhone? -- Posted replies by Microsoft all give the same steps, go to Settings... I know all that. I have done all that, many times. I have deleted and reinstalled the "known network" entry for this iPhone. -- Some posts in MS support say metering is "On" by default. Though I have it toggled "OFF" for all known networks, the Settings header still identifies my Wi-Fi as "Wi-Fi / ... metered network" The Dell / Win11 connection to my Hotspot can be made, sometimes, but it disconnects spontaneously when no user i

Wi-Fi Option Not Showing in Windows 11

I am experiencing an issue with my Windows 11 device where the Wi-Fi option is not appearing. I have tried several troubleshooting steps, but none have resolved the problem. Could anyone please provide guidance or suggest potential solutions? Here are the steps I have taken so far:

1. Restarted my computer.
   
2. Checked for Windows updates and installed any available updates.
   
3. Verified that the Wi-Fi adapter is enabled in Device Manager.
   
4. Ran the network troubleshooter.
   

Despite these efforts, the Wi-Fi option is still missing from the network settings.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Set Metered Connection not an option

Hi,

You may try the steps below and check.

To set a Wi-Fi network connection as metered:

• Select Start > Settings > Network & Internet
  > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks.
• Select the Wi-Fi network > Properties > turn on Set as metered connection
