Windows 10: Turn off monitor but keep programs running

Hi,I recently bought a new HP laptop with came with Windows11. What I need is to turn off the monitor while a movie is playing, so I only listen to the sound.I do that with a hotkey on my old HP laptop with Windows 10 using Monitor Off or TurnOffMonitor software with no trouble at all, but I've found that on Windows 11 when I turn the monitor off, the movie stops. Is there any way to prevent this?Thank you in advance.

• Press Windows + X keys and select the Control Panel.
• Select Power options by searching in search box.
• Left Pane select Choose when to turn off the display.
• Select the Time to turn off the display. Click Save Changes.
• Check if the issue resolves.

• Select Power options by searching in search box.
• Right side select Change Plan setting next to the power plans.
• Select the Change advanced Power plan settings.
• Under the list select and expand Power buttons and lid.
• Select Turn off the display under the drop down of setting.
• Click Apply. Ok.
• Close the LID and Check if the issue resolves.

Turn off Program Compatibility Mode

I suggest you to stop the Program Compatibility Assistant service
and check if it helps.

This service provides support for program compatibility assistant. PCA monitors programs installed and run by the user and detects unknown compatibility problems. If this service is stopped PCA will not work properly.

Steps:

• Click Start, type
  Services.msc in the Start Search box.
• Scroll down the list of services, right-click
  Program Compatibility Assistant service and select
  Stop.
