The group policy setting doesn't work in the Windows 10 Home edition. You would have to use one of the other options in the tutorial I posted for the Home edition instead.

this person has windows 10 HOME so will this apply.....some instructions seem to just say windows 10, but I am told if they involve the group policy editor they will not work on HOME versions, so will this work for HOME versions thanks

Basically, unless there's a note in the tutorial saying that an option will not work in Windows 10 Home, it's safe to assume that it will work. *Smile

 

thanks, that's what worried me as it just said windows 10......

wonder if if would be better to just have a bracket after the heading saying ( Not Home ) or ( all versions) save any possible misunderstandings.

That would add to much if I did that to all tutorials. I usually only note if it doesn't work or is included instead.

 

I think maybe a symbol or something with a key......but maybe I am the only one with the problem LOL.....I think the contribution /support you and the others give to the various flavours of Windows is amazing........
