Yes - that's actually what I meant by

 

It is an odd bug for it to still be highlighted in Action Center and actually be off. *Confused

Hmmm I also had mine disabled in service menu too. Don't know if it would make any difference for you Word Man. ??

 

Ok Shawn, new update on Bluetooth.
I turn my computer off at nite, when I am done using it. When I turned my computer on this morning, the Bluetooth icon came back and also was displaying that its ON in action center. It was still disabled in device's, also disabled in my services.
Now this is where its gets interesting. I rebooted my computer, and now the Bluetooth Icon is GONE from my Action Center.
So for some strange reason, Their seems to be a difference if I shut my computer down, or just reboot for the Bluetooth issue.

This has to be a Microsoft bug, just like the issue with Opencl.dll problem with Nvidia AND some AMD graphic cards. Anyhow bottom line is these 2 problems don't affect my actual Windows 10 performance, that I can see.

 

Hi, Mike. Although, I don't have Bluetooth Driver Management Service" at all (whether enabled or disabled in Device Manager), disabling the other two (from original manual) has no effect on my complaint, whether I reboot or not. I haven't tried a complete shutdown as you have - but too late for time being, my laptop is loafing at home and I am at work.

 

Ok Understand, Word Man, for me it was turned back ON if I did a complete shutdown, and it turns itself OFF and it is removed from my Action Center if I just reboot. Which does not make ANY sense. So this has to be a Microsoft issue, plain and simple.
The only other thing I might have different than your laptop, is I also have WiFi disabled too, its off in my router and in Windows.
As I have no use for Wifi at all, I hardwire everything.

I don't have this happening to me to test with, but you might test to see if toggling Airplane mode on and off may clear the false highlighted Bluetooth in Action Center.

 

Well I can't test that theory because I have a Desktop, so no Airplane mode shows.

But its OFF right now and does NOT display in my Action Center.
But, again, if I shut down my computer, and then turn it back on, The Bluetooth icon in Action Center will be displayed AND ON.

I gave this a try and, at least for immediate effect, it does clear the false highlight on the Bluetooth button (Bluetooth enabled in DevMgr but "OFF" in Settings). However, it's right back to the same behavior upon reboot.

Mike - same thing whether I simply reboot or shutdown and do a cold restart.

I'm with Kenn on this issue, if we get an update that fixes this issue I will let you know Shawn.

 

@Brink & @OldMike65 - I'm happy to report that KB3124200 seems to have completely resolved the behavior of my Bluetooth button in Action Center! Although the Bluetooth button showed greyed out text upon initial restart from KB3124200 install, upon a second restart, the Bluetooth button now behaves as it should.

I have tried every permutation and combination of airplane mode button, wifi button, and Bluetooth button possible and all 3 behave consistently. Airplane will shut both Bluetooth and wifi off AND I can re-enable either Bluetooth only or wifi only and the other will not re-enable with airplane mode button lit. So, I guess my problem was common enough that MS caught it on this sweep!

 

As I was telling Kenn a few min's ago Shawn, at 1st our new update didn't work for the Bluetooth problem, no matter how many times I rebooted, it showed. BUT then I shutdown my computer, waited about a min, turned computer back on, and now its gone. Have no idea why shutting down my computer removed it, over just rebooting, but.....it did....at least for the moment anyhow. *sarc
