Windows 10: Turning off sound notifications when PC is in sleep mode

My desktop is in sleep mode but I keep hearing audio sounds that typically accompany notifications when the PC is active. I can not find a setting to silence the PC while it is sleeping. Clearly something that I should be able to control.

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

 

Notifications sounds heard although PC is in sleep mode

My new Windows 10 laptop keeps making notification sounds even after I have put it in sleep mode. How can that be? I don't want Windows wake me up in the middle of the night.

I see that you system is still on even if the sleep mode option is turned on. This might be due to the change in the power plan settings.

Please follow the below methods and check if it works,

Method 1: I suggest you to run in-built Power troubleshooter and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting on the left pane, click on
  View All.
• Click on Power to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: If the above method doesn’t help, I would suggest you to reset and restore all of the default Power Plans back with their default settings. Follow the steps.

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Type Power Options and then Enter.
• In the left pane Select Change when the computer sleeps.
• Select Restore default settings on this plan.
• Restart the computer and check with the issue.
