    Turning on InPrivate

I am a parent and I found out that my kid's InPrivate Browsing was turned off. It's causing him a lot of trouble because he shares computers with one of his friends, and he wants his friend to use InPrivate. As a parent, how can I turn it back on? I heard that it is managed in the family settings but I can't find it.

    :)

Thank you for the feedback, David. Generally, InPrivate browsing will not be active and need to be initiated manually. If
InPrivate browsing opens when you try to launch Internet Explorer, you can try these steps to disable it:

    • Right-click on the Internet Explorer icon and click-on
      Properties
      .
    • Under Target, the path should be "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" (with the quotation marks.) If
-inprivate is suffixed, removed it and click the OK button.

Let us know how it goes.

    Hi Josh,

To better understand your concern about InPrivate browsing, we'd like to know the following:

    • If the family safety features of your Microsoft account are turned on. To check if your account is listed as a child's account, you can visit this

      link
      .
    • If you have multiple Microsoft accounts.

We look forward to your response.
