    Hi all,My job now requires me to carry acompany laptop when travelling between sites and commuting.I also have my own laptop to workon personal projects and personal use.To avoid carrying two laptopseverywhere, I would like to partition the hard drive of the company laptop andinstall a second copy of Windows 10 with my applications for my personal useand data.Simple enough. However, becauseone is private and the other is company. I would like each partition encryptedwith a different password/encryption key.After some messing about, Iachieved this using one Windows 10 and one Li

    I suggest you to perform below mentioned steps to disable BitLocker.

    To disable BitLocker I would suggest you try the following steps and see if it helps.


    • Press Windows key + X and click on
      Control Panel.

    • Change View by from Category
      to Large Icons/Small Icons.

    • Click on BitLocker Drive Encryption and click on
      Turn BitLocker Off.

    • Follow on screen instructions. Click on Decrypt the Drive
      when the message appears.

    Before proceeding, we need more information to help you better.

      • Have you encrypted the hard drive where Windows 7 is installed?
      • Is the system connected to domain?
      • Have you enabled Bit locker?
    The error may occur if the hard drive is locked or encrypted. You need to unlock the drive before you re install Windows. If you have encrypted the hard drive, I suggest you to decrypt the hard drive and check if you are able to install Windows 10.
