Windows 10: Two Personal Email addresses for one drive-cant locate saved files-can I merge the two...

I have two personal email address for my one drive. Problem is when I originally set up my account I used my married email address name. Later when I divorced I changed my email to my divorced name using outlook thinking I could merge the two accounts. Now when I sign into my computer I get confused about which one drive account is open and I lose track of where my documents are. Sometimes when I think I have saved my files into documents with a new name (working on dissertation so I need to keep every revision individually) the new named revision doesn't show up in documents.


I tried to merge by signing into each one drive account using each of the emails and attempted to add an alias email but I get error message saying this account in use.


Any ideas? If I close one of the email accounts will I lose my saved files associated with said email address?

  How are you accessing emails through web browser or through a mail client (mail app, outlook 2010/2013)?

  Are you trying to save the email attached file? Please elaborate.
  

If you are using Outlook email, let’s try simple steps and check if it helps. Try the below steps provided.

Step 1.

If you want to save only the attached file from the email, try the below step.

• 
  Right click on the attached file and click on Save as.
  
• 
  Now select a folder location where you want to save the attached file.
  

Step 2.

If you want to save the file along with the email try the below steps provided.

• 
  Open the mail you want to save and click on File on the top of the right side.
  
• 
  Click on Save As and select a folder location where you want to save the email.

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm opening up an attachment from a google account. When I right click I don't have the 'save as' option also I did not have that option when I checked the 'file' either...

Please advise.
