  1. U S B Saving Device

    G'day, U S B Saving Device a3094427-16b2-43dc-93b2-7dba31f6fa39?upload=true.jpg U S B Saving Device 0dc29e96-5b49-4f91-8707-988914352620?upload=true.jpg

I do not know if this is the right place to ask a question of this nature. You people have helped me so many times before, so I thought I would give it a try.

I have what I thought was an empty 32 g SanDisk stick. I copied a movie on to it so I could watch it on my T V. I have used it before without any problem.

After I copied the movie and placed it into my T V I received a message " UNSURPORTED DEVICE "

I also noticed that the Name on the device was different. The name now is ESD-ISO. It indicates that the disc is empty and yet with going to Properties it looks like there are files on it.

Is there anybody that knows what happed and why it is not working on my T V.

I would appreciate any help please.

    Cheers Perry

  2. Device Manager Un-Hiding Hidden Devices

When you connect a plug and play device, Windows Plug and Play manager detects it, finds and installs the driver. Device Manager lists the device with a solid icon.

The driver is only removed when you uninstall the device, not simply by disconnecting the device. When the device is disconnected, its driver is still installed. By default, Device Manager only displays connected devices. When you show hidden devices, note the Bluetooth icon you see is semi-transparent (not opaque). That indicates a "non-present" device. Sometimes also called a "ghost" device. The driver is still installed but the device is not currently detected (i.e. not connected).

    Device can be disconnected when
    • Device unplugged (e.g. removing a USB device)
    • Turning a device OFF
    • Disabling the device in BIOS (then windows won't detect it) or
    • Device failure

    So
    • Check BIOS as suggested
    • Check board connections
    • Can b/t be turned off by a switch? or keyboard combination?
Also possible the b/t h/w failed
