Windows 10: Ubiquiti Unifi and 1903 update

Hey folks,


So I have a Unifi controller (latest version) running on a Windows 10 box. I run Unifi as a service. I allowed Windows to update to 1903 and it immediate broke the service for the controller. Even after stopping the service, uninstalling the service, reinstalling the service, then starting it, the controller does not work at all. It will function fine when launched as the UnifiController .exe ... just does not start the controller when launched as a service.


I have the very latest 64-bit Java 8 installed; I attempted uninstalling that and reinstalling fresh, then reinstalling the Unifi controller and restoring from a backup for the controller... still no luck.


The service throws up no errors and appears to begin correctly but just does not.


Unifi support believes this to be an issue with the Windows 1903 update, as when I reverted to Windows before the update, everything immediately works fine again, Unifi service works fine.


Thanks for any input, and thank you Microsoft for taking the time to hopefully look into this issue and fix it. *(assuming it is an issue with the update)*

Ubiquiti Unifi Ap-AC Lite (x2) Zero Handoff ( now called Fast Roaming )

It might require a server running Java/Ubiquiti Unifi software but I'm not 100% sure.

 

Ubiquiti Labs AmpliFi Teleport Kit

I have only heard good things about the Ubiquiti Networks products and definitely want to try the UniFi lineup if given the opportunity, the AmpliFi is from their consumer-friendly Ubiquiti Labs division.

 

Ubiquiti Unifi Ap-AC Lite (x2) Zero Handoff ( now called Fast Roaming )

This or the cloud key. Cloud key must be PoE connected or a USB port needs to be at hand to power it.
