Windows 10: UEFI install with Windows 10 1703 32bit

I got my ISO directly from msdn, its a 32bit Windows 10(1703 update)

Now I am having trouble getting into OOBE, it would always throw me an error "Windows could not complete the installation"

I tried different solutions I found online, enabling the admin account and giving it a password. Manually launching oobe(just goes into an infinite loading loop). Setting min password length to 0 and complexity to disabled.

Maybe an autoattend would help here but I can't find nor know how to make one for a UEFI based install.

Downgrade from Windows 10 64bit to Windows 10 32bit

Hello

I purchased HP Notebook x2 with Windows 10 Home 64bit & 2GB RAM, I want to format it and install windows 10 home 32bit, but I always I fail , I extract windows 10 32bit ISO to USB flash to boot from it, but the notebook can't
let me boot from usb even if enter to bios (UEFI) and enable boot from USB and change the priority for it, even if I run the setup from windows I fail because the setup file is 32bit .

Please help me how I can boot from USB and format my notebook and install fresh windows 10 Home x32

another question:

in 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM (HDD) with CPU support x64, Which version of windows 10 should I install ? 64bit or 32bit ?

which not only has the same errors as we have but also mimics my plight - I have two similar laptops - one is 32bit and the other is 64bit - the latter updated to 1703 fine and the 32bit machine had sliding windows errors.

So, today I am in the process of updating the 32bit to 64bit (fortunately it is 64bit ready) and then install 1703 and see what happens

You cannot install Windows 32bit in UEFI mode.

The exception is some tablets or hybrids that have special bootloaders that will install as 32bit uefi. The converse is these devices cannot install 64bit even if cpu is 64bit capable.

Thus in simple terms a device is either 32bit or 64bit UEFI capable but cannot be changed.

 

Weird this came with win8 uefi. Is that restriction only for win10? What if i went to 8 first then go to 10?

 

Is there a reason your going 32 bit instead of 64 bit? Was the original install Windows 8 32 bit or 8 64 bit?

 

Dame for Windows 8 unless device had special 32bit bootloader eg tablet.
