Windows 10: "Ultimate Photo Duplicate Finder" APP

I purchased the "Ultimate Photo Finder". After running it, ALL of the photos and videos are absent from their original folders. I searched and found the "PHOTODUPLICATE" folder, but I can not look at any of the videos or photos in this folders. I'm assuming it moved every single one of my photos/videos to this folder--- I sincerely hope it did!!!

How do I get my photos back. I need help, please...

When I right click on the photo it shows that the Properties has 42MB which is not anywhere near the amount of photos I had originally.

HELP!!

PS I noticed that the app does not appear to have a help section or anywhere you can go to ask questions. I find this extremely frustrating.

Finding duplicate images is extremely hard . . .

It depends an the criteria the software uses to find duplicates, file name, file size, meta data, pixel to pixel comparison, visual similarity . . . etc.

So the questions I would ask of the software developer are:

• what criteria is that software using to compare images
• can you change the comparison criteria with that software

Ultimate Duplicate Photo Finder not being able to find duplicates is not a Windows issue, rather an issue with the software you are using, namely Ultimate

Ultimate Duplicate Photo Finder.

Scans 16G of photos then states no duplicates found when I know there is about 70% duplicates. Anyone help?

Many thanks for your reply which confirms exactly what has been in the back of my mind. The photos have been recovered from a deleted file which may compound the issue. Microsoft suggest reinstalling programme which I will do and see what happens.
