    change billing country

    Hi,

    I recently moved county and also bought new windows phone, signed up using my hotmail account but now cant change the address on my credit card. Have been unable to contact anybody from microsoft billing or find a contact address/number, how do i change the
    credit card details associated with my account.

    cannot change billing address country

    I have been trying for about 2 weeks to give my son's microsoft account parental permission to update the apps on his windows phone.

    After many error messages, I finally got to the stage where microsoft want to charge my credit card US$0.50 to verify my age.

    That's fine - but I can't do it. There is no way to change the billing address details to anything other than United States. I am in the United Kingdom and this is the country associated with my microsoft account.

    Can any one help?

    It's a known issue right now that you cannot change your billing country. THere's two (not so pretty) options at this point:

    • Use an Xbox to remove your Zune/Xbox account from your current Windows Live ID and start with a new Zune/Xbox account in your new region. This will lose all Microsoft Points, previously purchased apps and Xbox data.
    • Use a new Windows Live ID.
    I have a feeling this will be corrected some time this year though, before Windows 8's release. If not, we are going to have a LOT of issues.
