Windows 10: Unable to Connect to a Laptop on my home network

Hello

I've been struggling for some time tying to create a shared drive on a desktop pc running windows 10. This is so that my wife can access a file on our laptop that's on the same home network as the desktop. All attempts to do this give the error "Network path not found" 0x80070035. I've tried adding

the laptop's IP address and name to the LMhosts file, but that didn't work. Curiously, if I map from the laptop to a folder on the desktop, that works OK.


Details that might be relevant:

1. The laptop is running Windows 7

2. The laptop tells me its part of a homegroup but I don't get this on the desktop

How to set up wireless network connection?

Hello everyone...

I want to connect wireless network connection to my laptop. But I don't know why I am unable to do it.. I am getting some error. I think some configuration setting kind of error. Can you please provide me some steps so that I can get my work done.

Losing network connection

Hello Dear, if you have a laptop or a PC with a wireless network adapter, you can see a list of available wireless networks and then connect to one of those networks. The wireless networks will only appear if your PC has a wireless network adapter installed, the adapter is turned on, and the wireless access point is in range.

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.

2. In the left pane, under Network Tasks, click View available wireless networks.
In case, If you don't see the network you want to connect to, click Refresh network list. If you see the network but the signal is weak, move the PC closer to the wireless router.

3. Click the network you want to connect to, and then click Connect.

4. If you're connecting to a secure network, type the security key, and then click OK.
