Windows 10: Unable to connect to LAN PC in File Explorer

Issue:Through File Explorer, I'm trying to connect to a LAN PCto access resources remotely but the Windows Security Credentials pop-up is blocking me. Environment:Remote PC: Windows 10 Prof. Internet connected and updated.Local PC: Windows 11 Prof. Internet connected and updated. Network: Home Local LAN. User Account:The User Account used and logged in on both PCs are the same Microsoft Online Account, on both PCs the account is local Administrator, on both PCs the account is Sign-In Enabled. On both PC's I can see remote PCs under the File Explorer's Network section.Devices are not enrolle

Good LAN party games?

Most of my suggestions have already been listed.

However, I found Swat4 to actually be a pretty fun LAN game, especially at smaller LAN parties.

 

Asus P5Q Onboard Lan issues...

I've just reformated my pc, and it all runs fine except for the the onboard lan. I've tried every LAN driver on ASUS list, and I can't get it to work. It keeps searching for the connection, but it never finds it. The internet runs fine on my moms PC, so it can't be the internet provider*Frown Onboard LAN is enables in BIOS, and I did try to clear CMOS without any luck.
Any suggestions? It really sux.... I think the P5Q Pro is a buggy board...

I understand your concern, let us try few troubleshooting methods to resolve this issue and check if that helps:



Method 1: Set existing LAN connection as default.



To do that,

1. Click on the network icon on the bottom right corner of the taskbar.
   
2. Now click on ‘Network & Internet settings’.
   
3. Select ‘Change adapter options’.
   
4. Now tap on ‘Alt’ key on the keyboard to display the file menu.
   
5. Click on ‘Advanced’ options.
   
6. Now click on ‘Advanced settings’.
   
7. Click on the network that you are currently using. (Network 2 in your case).
   
8. Click on the green arrow pointing upwards.
   
9. Now click on OK.
   

Method 2: Update Network adaptor drivers.



I would suggest you to refer the article on
