Windows 10: Unable to delete directory. Error code 0x80004005.

I have the following problem.


I recently upgraded Windows 10 to the latest version. In the root directory of the C: drive there is a folder called Windows.old. When I try to delete it, I get an error. I drill down into the directory structure and I find a directory called "LocalState.." that I cannot access no matter what I do, even as the Administrator. I opened a command prompt and elevated it to SYSTEM privileges, and I still cannot access it. Here's a screenshot:




So what is going on and how can I remove this? This is on Windows 10 Pro RTM 1903 Build 18362.295 64-bit.

ActiveSync Error Code 0x80004005

I have deleted the sync partnership, deleted all entries in the Windows/ActiveSync directory, recreated the sync partnership in an attempt to get this to work. After recreating the sync partnership, I still get the error code 0x80004005.

What should I do now to restore access to my mail ?
