    Unable to download applications


    I updated to Windows 10 Version 1909 OS Build 18363.778 and now have difficulty launching both SQL Server Express and SQL Server Management Studio. I would run the .exe file and it would appear to launch by the icons showing on the task bar and running in the Task Manager, but when I click on the icons, nothing happens. I just see my desktop. The program is running, but the window does not show up. I had the dame issue with Visual Studio and that engineering team led me to this forum. I would greatly appreciate some help with this.

    Is there something wrong with the server providing the download for SysTool? I'm unable to download the application using Firefox or IE.

    Are there any mirrors?

    From the description provided, I understand that you are unable to download apps from the Windows Store.

    I would suggest you to follow the below methods and see if it helps.

    Method 1

    Try to reset the Wndows Store cache.

    Steps:

    1. Press Windows key + R form the keyboard to open the Run Command Dialog Box.

    2. Type in wsreset.

    Method 2

    Re-register the Store App. Run the following in a Command Window (CMD) and see if it helps to resolve the issue.


    • powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.XML
