Windows 10: Unable to download attachment for window mail

As per above, why isn't the mail content being downloaded by default and have to save it to read the mail

Hello Allan,

To attach a document file on an email, you can follow the step given below:

For Windows 10 Mobile:

• Launch to File Explorer app.
• Press and hold the file that you need to attach on the email, and select
  Share button.
• Select Outlook Mail on the suggested applications.

For Windows Phone 8.1:

• Download and install
  Files app.
• Launch Files app.
• Tap and hold the document that you need to attach on the email, and select
  Share button.
• Select the Mail app on the suggested applications.

Windows 10 Mail Apps cannot download attachment

I am also having the same problem - I am unable to download attachments through the windows mail client from either of my two e-mail addresses (it tries for a while but eventually says "download failed"). As you suggested, I ran the app troubleshooter but
it did not detect any problems. Also, as you suggested I ran the internet connection troubleshooter but it also did not detect a problem. Finally, I opened the webmail client for both my work and yahoo e-mail addresses and I am able to download attachments
using webmail just fine. This appears to be an issue with the windows mail app. Do you have any further suggestions?

 

Problem in downloading mail attachment

Unable to download any mail attachment from Windows 10 mail. No attachment is downloading and simply indicating that the mail is downloading but nothing happens after a long period also. Can anybody help me to solve this issue. What I have to configure
in mail.
