Thank you for your reply, I have already done what you suggest and a great deal more. But your answer is not responsive to the basic question: Why are Windows Update Health Tools being blocked by "no AADjoin" and what can be done about it? Thank

Update Health Tools blocked

Recently KB4023057 installed Windows Update Health Tools, which might be useful, as I have been unable in more than 30 tries to install 2004. However, I get this message in diagnostics: "Microsoft.Windows.UpdateHealthTools.UpdateHealthToolsServiceBlockedByNoAADJoin".


I take this to mean I am not on Azure (and I'm not) but not sure what that would have to do with this installed app.

I would like 2004 to install or go away, I'm not going to nuke my software and "clean install" and although I have tried every suggestion in the book (and they have been many) nothing has worked to install it. Hoping this app would fix whatever bugs are
holding me up but it apparently won't run either.

Suggestions or information gratefully received.

Windows updates...

Oh. Your "Registry" must have gotten screwed up FLY3R. If for some reason you couldn't download your updates I suppose you could go to the update site, and run throught the steps 'till it fails activation. Then you could go up to "Tools > Manage Add ons > then disable "Windows Genuine Advatage Validation Tool." Of course you should only use this method if you are having problems updating your legitamate copy of Windows XP. Perhaps do to a corrupted piece of software? *Smile
