    Unable to enable focus inbox for Gmail accounts in Mail app


    I definitely used to have focused inbox support for my gmail accounts within the Windows 10 mail app. After having to reset my Windows Mail app, I no longer have the option to toggle focused inbox on my gmail accounts.


    Is there something I can do to fix this issue? I use various emails for work and this makes it very difficult to filter everything now.


    I am referring to the built in Windows Mail app, NOT Outlook.


    All apps and Windows OS are up to date.

    Unable to enable focus inbox for Gmail accounts in Mail app after resetting windows 10

    I recently had to reset windows 10 on my Surface Pro 2017 due to issues with the windows store.

    Everything else is fine, but for some reason, I have been unable to re-enable Focused Inbox on either of my Gmail accounts, but it still works with my Outlook account.

    Focus inbox definitely worked with both Gmail accounts before, and now the only account I am able to toggle focus inbox on or off is the outlook account.

    Any and all help with this issue is greatly appreciated.

    Windows 10 Mail App deleting emails in my Gmail Inbox


    When I delete an email received in my Win 10 Mail App inbox, the same email is also deleted in my Gmail inbox, automatically. I would like to prevent this. Emails deleted from my Mail App should be left behind in my Gmail inbox. Could I prevent this deletion from happening by changing an IMAP Access setting in my Gmail settings?

    I attach two pictures. In the one, you can see how my Win 10 Mail App was configured by Windows when I added my Gmail account. In the other picture, you can see what I consider changing in my IMAP settings at GMail. I have no idea if this will help and whether I should make this change. I am fairly computer-illiterate.

    Could somebody advise me please?

    Enable Focused Inbox for Gmail in Mail App

    Same problem here - the focused inbox is there for the microsoft accounts no problem but it's not showing up for the Gmail accounts and all the junk is just showing up in the Inbox folder still. Articles claim this feature was enabled for gmail accounts
    on outlook.com last spring.
