Unable to go into Task Manager after installation of ProcessHacker

Freshly installed Windows 10 Pro X64 1809. Installed ProcessHacker right off after Windows installation and within ProcessHacker installation, I've set it to run with administrative rights as well to use it as default. Now... I'm unable to get into Task Manager at all. Get an error every start of it "C:/Windows/system32/taskmgr.exe , Could not access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the right permission to access the item." I've previously had installed Windows 10 Pro X64 1803 and used the portable version of ProcessHacker and it was working like a charm, except the UAC window every restart of the machine which I've been tired of so now I decided to install through the .exe installer and it's not working at all. Any solutions except uninstalling it and switching back to the portable version?

    :)

  2. Task manager--where is is?

To add to the above, once you click on More Details, choose Details tab to see processes as files.

But it is probably better to install a better task manager like Process Hacker or Process Explorer.

Windows 10 - cannot add exec to Startup in Task Manager

I purchased a new computer with Windows 10 already installed. I am trying to add an exec to the startup list but Win10 will not accept it. The exec runs successfully on my Windows 10 machine if I start it manually.

Steps I've taken: Task Manager, Startup Tab, File>Run New Task. (browse to location, select.) It will start immediately, but does not show up on the list to autostart, nor does it start on reboot.

    Any suggestions?

in Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging
Is there a solution for the task manager going into pause mode yet?: Discussions from a year ago were pretty unanimous that having Task Manager pause automatically on screen lock serves no useful purpose. This only happens on my Win10 desktop. It does NOT happen on my Win10 laptop so there must be a setting or switch somewhere....
