Windows 10: unable to install canon mx410 printer, error message says "an error occurred while files...

I have tried to install a Canon printer but the program stops with an error message saying unable to copy files 0001 0001. I have contacted Canon but they say it's a Windows problem. I have checked updates and also downloaded the latest driver. I downloaded the drivers from the Canon site and that is what I am trying to install. I also updated Windows 10 with all latest updates. I tried installing in a clean boot as well...no good. These are some of the other fixes that I have tried:


- downloaded driver from website and save file. Right-clicked on saved file and select Run As Administrator to install

- disabled Firewall or Antivirus Software may be blocking the installation

- made sure that necessary ports and programs are not being blocked by security or firewall programs

- disabled third-party software to avoid installation conflicts

- created a new admin user account and then attempt the installation under that account

Printer error message “ could not connect printer to port”


Had similar with Canon mx410, reinstalled the printer driver and communication error messages stopped.

Yes, it is kind of confusing. Printer was printing correctly, but the status reporting was messed up.

 

Can't share printer—getting error message

Not working... I see the printer, but when I go to add it, I get this messge: "Windows could not connect to the printer (error 0x0000000d)."

I installed the 32-bit drivers for it and printed something out from the pc the printer is connected to, and I went to the additional drivers page and added drivers for 64-bit, and when I went to add the printer on the other machine, it copied drivers over, but after that I got the error message listed above...

 

I'm trying to print wirelessly from my Canon MX410 printer and I get an error message that my printer is offline.

I have a Canon MX410 wireless printer and when I try to print from my laptop I get an printer offline error message. My printer was configured and is connected to my wifi and I downloaded the latest driver onto my laptop and completed the wifi connection.

Any thoughts on how to fix?
