Windows 10: Unable to install KB3105213

Hi

I have tried to update KB3105213 using Windows Update and it appears to run through but eventually comes up with an error "Failed to install 19/11/2015" I am running on an HP Envy 700-060 EA desktop.

I have disabled my anti virus Panda and the Windows Firewall and Malwarebytes. and tried to install the update again with the same result.

I copied the update file on to a memory stick and tried to install it from the stick again with the same result.

I have managed to create a log file for Windows Update but I'm not sure how to make sense of it.

Does anyone have any experience of this problem or of a workaround?

Windows 10 bombarded with endless notification noises upon start up

KB3105213 is installed, KB3120677 is not in Installed Updates.

 

Cannot install KB3105213 Update for windows x-64 based systems Why not?

Additional info

Have two PCs running same OS, One PC was successful with installing the KB3105213 the major difference between the PCs is that the successful install PC also has office 2010 installed. The office updates were installed same day as the KB3105213.

 

By this, do you mean you have an .MSU file which was downloaded from the catalog

Yes it is an MSU file that I found on a Microsoft site. Can't remember where though.

File name is windows10.0-kb3105213-x64_91e14ff09eba6211ad11baa59182d1770a94d753

Size 540,193,908 bytes

I downloaded the batch file and ran it. It seemed to work OK

But sadly when I retried to install update KB3105213 I got the same problem- "We couldn't complete the update. Undoing changes"
