Windows 10: Unable to install network adapter drivers

I am attempting to install Windows 10 on an SSD to work with boot camp on my iMac but upon installing the OS, running the drive and running boot camp setup, the network adapter driver did not install, and after attempting to download the driver listed on the website, 802.11ac network adapter, and install manually I received a code 10 error and upon restarting and trying again it still fails. I was wondering if there is anything that would cause it to fail on the Windows side as the only thing I could think of is the setup missing the driver, but if I got it from a Microsoft website I do not

Install a driver for your network adapter

Go to the list of network adapters in the control panel, turn of the lan and turn it on again. See if that helps.

• Download the latest Wireless network adapter driver setup file from the manufacturer’s website and install it.

I suggest you to uninstall the network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand the Network adapters from the options.
• Right click on the wireless network card and select
  Uninstall.
• Restart the computer for automatic installation of network adapters and check if the changes are effective.

Update network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand the Network adapters from the options.
• Right click on the wireless network card and select Update option.
• Restart the computer and check if the changes are effective.
