Windows 10: Unable to login both fingerprint and PIN not working

Hi, I was trying to login into my laptop Dell XPS 16 and I tried using the fingerprint function and it was not working. As I have tried to do so for a couple of time, I am now forced to login via a PIN number. I've typed in the PIN number that I have been using but they said that the PIN number was actually wrong. I've tried to click on the "Forgot my PIN" function, and they said that a code was sent to my outlook email for verification but it never arrive. How should I go upon resolving this? I have never had such an issue in my life so I have no idea what is going on here....

Unable to Access Windows - PIN and Fingerprint Issues

Hello,

I am experiencing issues accessing my Windows account due to problems with the PIN and fingerprint login. Here are the steps I followed and the issues encountered:

1. I entered an incorrect PIN several times.
   
2. I decided to change the PIN. I successfully logged into my account. and attempted to change the PIN, but an error occurred during the process.
   
3. Now, I am unable to log in using the PIN, and it is blocked for 2 hours.
   
4. I am offered the option to use fingerprint authentication, but it does not work.
   
5. I am not given the option to log in using my password or account credentials, even though I logged in with them when attempting to change the PIN.
   

How can I regain access to Windows?

Fingerprint and pin login not working

After changing my email address on my Microsoft account, the old email address still appears on my Windows 10 sign in screen.

However I find I am now unable to log in with my fingerprint or pin. I can only log in by typing the password. I get this error message:

"You can't sign in to your device right now. Try the last password you used on this device."

I attempted to change the account to a local account and when I do I get this error message:

"We're sorry, but something went wrong. Your Microsoft account wasn't changed to a local account. Code 0x80004005"

Any suggestions on how to get my Microsoft login to reflect my new email address and restore my ability to log in with fingerprint and pin?
