Unable to open downloaded Zip Files

    Hi all,

I recently installed windows 10 on the computer. However, when I download a folder from One Drive web onto my desktop - I am unable to open the file.

The error shown is that it is unable to track the location of the Zip folder as per the current location.

    Please help on this matter!

On a separate issue, I would like to change the name of the default folder under "Users" which is currently named "abc". There is no option to rename the folder. Incidentally, when I go to computer management to view the name - its appears as "xyz" instead of "abc".

Is there a possibility that the 2 problems are connected as all current desktop items are located in Users>"abc">desktop?

Thank you for your inputs - please let me know if I can clarify further.

    :)

Unable to register 7zip to open zip files

You did try re-adding it to context menu after the reboot/ reinstall as per this post? It doesn't show up otherwise.

  3. Zip File

    Good Evening

I have this evening downloaded a zip file which is showing as a "zip Archive" in my Downloads.

I have not got a clue about zip files.

I am unable to open this file.

How do I get access to the contents of the file?

I am a complete novice so a simple step by step guide on how to access the contents of the file and use it would be a great help to me.

    Regards
