Windows 10: Unable to open pictures

My wife has a Surface Pro 4 running Windows 10, when clicking on a jpg she is getting File system error -2147219196 .. How do we resolve it.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

Unable to open pictures

I tried the sugestions given and I still get the same message. I am trying to open offline jpg.pictures in my picture file folder-C:\users\ . I was able to view them two days ago but not when I click on them I get the message "class not registered".
I performed the sfc/scannow and that didn't work. Are their any other suggestions that I might try?

• How exactly are you trying to open the images? Is it online or offline pictures?
• From which application are you trying to access the pictures?
• Did you try different image formats?

This issue may arise due to corruptions in the services or due to file corruptions. We will assist you to resolve the issue.

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to download and install any pending updates that needs to be installed on the computer through Windows update and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

If the issue persists, I suggest you to perform SFC scan and check if it helps.

System File Checker (SFC) is a utility in Microsoft Windows that allows users to scan for and restore corruptions in Windows system files. Perform System File Check (SFC),
and then check if this fixes the issue.

Press the Windows button + X
on your keyboard, a mini dialogue box will appear.

2. Choose Command Prompt (Admin). You must run the command prompt in Administrator level.

3. On the command prompt type sfc /scannow
and hit enter.

4. If everything went okay and no errors were found, restart your computer and see if the issue re-occurs.
