    Unable to pair Echo Dot with Laptop Windows 10


    Hi,


    I am trying to pair echo dot with my laptop hp envy 15 ae 101nx in order touse the dot as an external speaker.

    The windows notifications pop up saying echo dot 5rp wants to pair however when i connect error appears "Connection failed due to unknown device". I have tried updating my bluetooth software already and windows 10 is fully updated.


    Do I have to install the paid alexa app on Microsoft store to fix this ?

    Any help would be a great help, thank you.

    I have an Echo Dot Gen 2 & 3. I'm trying to pair them together . No luck so far .Any suggestions?
