Windows 10: Unable to reinstall Minecraft

I bought Minecraft Windows 10 edition about two month ago and installed it on my computer. I have now switched computers and would like to reinstall it on my new device.

I downloaded the launcher with the same account I bought the game with and the launcher is asking me to buy the game. The game also does not appear in my Xbox Companion game list. It does, however, appear in my order history and the order is marked as paid and completed.

I have also logged into the official minecraft website again, using the same microsoft account I bought the game with and it's also telling me I don't own Minecraft.


I have bought this game TWICE already because I didn't know how to reinstall the game. Is there a problem with my account? Do I need to uninstall Minecraft from my old computer? Please help.

• Are you using Minecraft app downloaded from Store or Minecraft program?
• Do you receive any error?

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall Minecraft and check if that fixes the issue.

Also try to download and install the display and chipset drivers from the manufacturer website.

Homegroup For Minecraft Servers Or What?

It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup

It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server
