Windows 10: Unable to reinstall Realtek Audio Drivers

Hello,


I replaced my GPU a week or two ago from a AMD Radeon RX 460 to Nvidia GTX 1060 3GB, and this morning I started my computer, where I received a pop-up box saying my AMD drivers were not detected. I downloaded AMD Cleanup Utility and ran it in Safe Mode and, after restarting, didn't have any sounds playing. I tried to get my sound back, and looked online for some help - a few places suggested Uninstalling Realtek Audio Drivers from Device Manager, and then pressing Scan for Hardware Changes, where the Realtek Drivers would then be reinstalled, however I tried that and nothing happened.


I don't have any external speakers Windows detects my plug-in USB microphone as a speaker, although it isn't, so I can't hear any audio anymore. I've downloaded Realtek Audio Driver's from their website, and reinstalled them but it's still missing from Device Manager, and I can't select it in the Sound Control Panel. I also can't use Nvidias HD Audio for whatever reason I think it has something to do with me connecting my PC to my monitor via DVI, as I can't connect it with HDMI.


Any help here would be appreciated.

Audio stopped working overnight, cannot find Realtek Driver even after reinstalling?

Hi, I have tried all of those steps, however my audio still isn't working. I am unable to see Realtek Audio driver listed in the Device Manager (image attached in the original post)

I had the realtek error when using the installer, so I did these step and It Worked

1.Go Open up device manager
2. Go under sound,video, and game controllers
3. Find Realtek High Definition Audio
4. Right click and hit update driver
5. Browse my computer for driver software
6. Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
7. Click Have Disk and hit browse
8. Click on the Realtek HD Audio mod folder and look for win64
9. Click on the HDXRT4 and click ok,
10. Click Next and Yes
After it is done, restart the PC

You should be good then and also make sure before doing these steps that you have driver enforcement disabled.

Everyone that post ids, need just do these steps and you will be good. I kinda tired of keep on uploading the inf. file

additional if you want dts audio and others, install it now before next step.
After it is done, restart the PC
