Windows 10: Unable to restart after Win10 Reset

I have a Surface Studio and yesterday, Win10 did an update on it. After that, my screen was split in half, like Win10 saw half the screen as one monitor and the other half as a second monitor. I was trying to fix it but as I was checking the options, my cat jumped up on my desk and whatever option was selected (I think it was to extend displays) was selected. I chose to revert but for some reason, that was ignored, so now my monitor was black and there was nothing I could do to get it back. After doing some searches and trying to get to the bios or using Shift-P to try to get rid of the ghost monitor (never got that to work), I said, forget it and reset Win10 (that was a mess in itself to get there since I had to connect up a wired keyboard first). I left it running and went to bed. This morning, I get up and the screen is black so I press the power button and eventually it comes up with the black screen, Windows logo and the circling dots. That stayed for a couple of minutes, then went to a gray screen and the Win logo, the screen flashed, and then the system powered off. I turned the power back on and the same thing happened. After several more attempts, I'm at a complete loss. My second PC updated with no issues (OS Build 18362.1139). Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it

 

Unable to get Win10 to recognize EPSON 4870 Photo Scanner

I'll walk you though the steps I do to install my Perfection 1200. I have to do this periodically for some reason to reestablish the 'non-standard' Perfection 2400 driver.

1. Right click on the scanner in Device Manager (as Admin) and select Update Driver. Then select the option to browse my computer for driver software.



2. Then select Let me pick from a list of device drivers....



3. Select Imaging Devices from the next list.



4. Finally, select the correct Epson driver you have installed then click Next. If it isn't listed then something has gone wrong with the driver installation.



5. Hopefully, the scanner should now work?

 

Unable to reset the pc

Hello,

If you are having that message while trying to reset your computer, We suggest you to create an installation media for Windows 10 using Media
Creation Tool and perform a Reset.

Once the installation media is created, follow the steps below:

• Insert the installation media you created, and then restart your PC.
• On the Install Windows screen, select Repair your computer.
• On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot. From there, you can use Safe Mode. Select
  Advanced Options >Reset This PC>Remove everything.
• After the reset is complete, check for status.
