  1. Unable to rip CDs in Windows Media Player Windows 10

I recently tried ripping some new CDs through Windows Media Player the first time I've done it for several months and although the CDs are playing perfectly through the application I keep getting an error message every time I try to rip them. The message is:

Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file might be in use, you might not have access to the computer where the file is stored or your proxy settings might not be correct.

Following the Web Help links me to this webpage:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...&id=C00D11D2&contextid=10&originalid=80070005

Any advice that doesn't involve having to set up system restore points would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

    :)

  4. Unable to rip CDs in Windows Media Player Windows 10

    CD RIP in Media Player

RIP option does not come on in Windows Media Player when I load a CD. The songs are shown correctly in the listing but I am unable to rip to file. This has always worked OK before today.
