    Unable to run Quicken 2017 after upgrading to Windows 10


    After upgrading my HP laptop to Windows 10, Quicken 2017 completely stopped working. I downloaded the program again from quicken.com, it seemed to install properly, but won't run. When I click the icon a little blue circle appears for an instant, as if it's going to run, but disappears. I've restarted the computer twice, but that didn't make a difference.

    Quicken 2017 no longer runs under Windows 10

    I use Quicken 2017, and after a windows update today, I'm unable to open the program. It immediately fails, with Windows stating it's closing the program and will notify if a solution is found.. Any suggestions? I've uninstalled/reinstalled the program
    with no luck.

    Quicken 2017

    Instructions how to install it are described on the download page:

    How to Install the Update (US and Canada)

    Click on the link above for the update you prefer (these steps apply to both).

    Choose Save As, then browse to your desktop and save it there. If you get a prompt asking if you want to allow the program to make changes, you will need to allow.

    From your desktop, right-click the newly downloaded file QW2017R15.1Patch or QW2017R15.1MPatch (QWCA27.1.1.136Patch or QWCA27.1.1.136MPatch for Canada) and select Run as Administrator.

    Follow the on-screen instructions to install the update.

    When finished, you can verify the release version of Quicken by selecting the Help menu in the software and choosing About Quicken.

    Thanks for the response.

    Actually I had found that page and had tried those but it still would not open.

    I then chatted with Quicken online and they told me to download their mondo patch for Quicken 2017 at Quicken 2017 for Windows Update and Mondo Patch. It was a 631mb download.

    Running the patch fixed the problem. They said that it was because sometimes Quicken updates do not get installed properly. But the problem arose after a Windows 10 update. And I incorrectly said that all the updates were for MS Office 2007, I noticed that
    a couple of them were for the Windows OS.

    So I'm not sure where the problems was, but it is working well now.
