    permissions

    Hi,

Let's make sure that Public folder sharing is on in Network and Sharing Center. Follow these steps:

    • Click on Start.
    • Type Manage advanced sharing settings then press Enter.
    • Expand All Networks.
    • Under Public folder sharing, choose Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can read and write files in the Public folders.
    • Click on Save changes.

We also suggest you disable your antivirus software if you still encounter the error after following the steps above.

Let us know if the suggestions above help you in fixing the problem.

    Regards.

You dont have permission to save in this location...

This is a process but it worked for me:
You can follow these steps for one folder or go here to make sure your folder is shared with Everyone
1.Right click on the folder that you can't access and click share with >specific people
    2. Click add and then enter Everyone for a user name
    3. Click read permissions where it says read to read/write
    4. Click share, click done

    1. Right click properties on the folder you can't access
    2. Click advanced.
    3. Click change owner
    4. Type Everyone for the owner and select owner reset to full control.
    5. close properties
    6. Then click on the save file box and choose the default folder you want to save to in the open dialog box.
With a new owner with full control of everything and sharing it should work if you followed this completely. Worked for me. *Shock

  4. Unable to save files correctly to network share with read & write permission

File sharing over network not working again

    Hi Jose Perera,

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

According to your description, you were unable to access network-shared folders.

    Here is my idea:

    1. I recommend you check your network sharing settings first by following these steps: Go to Control Panel > Change View to "Categories" > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Advanced Sharing Settings > Make sure the options on this page are turned on.
    2. If the settings are normal, I suggest you test if the problem occurs with new files. ( I suggest you place the files on a non-system disk)
    3. I also suggest you restart related services by following the steps: Press "Windows+R" on the keyboard > Type: services.msc > Find "File History Service", "File Discovery Provider Host" and "File Discovery Resource Publication" services respectively, right-click and select "Properties" > Set the "Startup Type" to "Automatic", and click the "Start" button to start this service, click "OK" to complete the settings.
    4. If the above methods do not help you you can try to reset access rights according to the following steps:

Right-click on the folder you want to share > More Options > Properties > Security > Edit > Add > Advanced > Find Now > Select everyone in the search results > OK > "Everyone" will appear under the Combined User Name, select the permissions you want to allow in "Everyone", such as read, rewrite, read and write, etc. Generally, you can choose full control > OK > See that "Everyone" is already in the portfolio username in "Security" > Click "Sharing" > Advanced Sharing > Click "Permissions", select "Everyone" > Set permissions > Click "OK" in sequence.
Please feel free to tell me progress.

    Best regards
