Windows 10: Unable to save trimmed videos

    Unable to save trimmed videos


    This is beyond frustrating. On my own PC I am trying to save trimmed video in Movies and TV, but I get a stupid message saying that I don't have permission, and I have to save a copy. First I am set up as an administrator. Second, there is no way to save a copy with a different file name. Third, there is no way to run the program as an admin by right-clicking on the icon.Unbelievable.

    I am trying to trim a video in the Photo App Windows 10. Able to trim but unable to save the edits. Would appreciate any and all guidance.

    trim video

    in the photos app, drag the white circle from the left side to trim off the beginning of the video, you should see the video change as you do it.

    Drag the white circle from the right side to trim off the ending.

    it will not allow you to trim the video to less than 1 second

    you can play the video at any time to see what remains after trimming.

    when you are happy with the result click save a copy in the top right of the screen or right click anywhere and select save a copy, it will be saved in the original location with trim added to the filename.

    Photos app - trim a video - error

    Hello,
    I am trying to use the built-in Windows 10 Photos app to trim a video.
    I have the video playing in the Photos app and click "Trim Video" at the top.
    I move the sliders to select the start and end points.
    I click "Save a copy" at top-right.
    The app says "It looks as though you don't have permissions to save changes to this file. Try saving a copy instead."
    Having just clicked "Save a copy", I am confused as to why this error message is appearing.
    I've tried copying the .mp4 to my VIDEOS folder on C: drive with the same result.
    Some research has suggested to run the Photos app as Administrator, but I can't figure out how to do that.
    Any suggestions on how to trim a video would be appreciated!
